Redefining Education

Hello! Thank you so much for choosing to click and read about us. We are run by a group of high school students and one business teacher. Our mission is to help students have every opportunity to learn, so they can be as successful as possible. At Frederick Douglass we believe knowledge is power and the key to freedom. All the funds we receive through our clothing business will go directly to fund scholarships for students seeking any form of higher education. 

For the first couple of blog posts, I want to focus on different aspects of our class and business. The first thing I will talk about is our brand logo. We believe in equality, big opportunities, and a real chance of finding success and purpose through education and life.  We know that a legacy is not something that is dropped into your lap; we know it is something you must put in the work for. 

Do you see that water droplet in our logo? Well, it’s actually an “F” and a “D” for Frederick Douglass. It also ties into our other logo H2O.

Our H2O logo droplet is a little bit different from the water droplet we have in our Legacy logo. Inside the H2O droplet, instead of having FD inside, we have an elaborate cursive H and O with the number 2. This logo stands for History to Opportunity. We believe remembering our history helps us go further in the future. We take what we already know and use that knowledge to further our success and the success of others. 

Our logos serve as a daily reminder that building a legacy starts with a single drop of hard work. By supporting our clothing business, you are doing more than just buying apparel: you are directly funding scholarships and providing the key to unlock big opportunities for students.
